Functional impact
A pure tank/barrier — no attack, no spawn, just soaks damage:

How to play
Drop it right in the lane of an incoming push to bait attacks. Buys precious seconds for your damage dealers to spin up behind it. Great as a frontline shield for squishy spawners.
Splash damage and high-DPS attackers chew through it fast. Ignore it with flying or area units, or burst it down before the defender can capitalize on the time it buys.
Flavor
Hard hats, hard cover. A pure barrier that soaks damage while you set up.

Backstory
The Roadworks signed onto Foodogeki's territorial-integrity contract in 2021, and it's the longest-running joint in the league. Officially, they handle infrastructure: cones, signage, sidewalk patches, the bell ring at start of match. Unofficially, they own the lanes. A Roadworks card on the field doesn't just take space — it redefines the geometry of the arena. The contract says so. The contract is one line: "When the bell rings." The crew clocks out the moment the bell does.
