Role tier list
Tiers reflect the strength of each action role in the current meta. Specific cards within a role may perform differently — see card pages for nuance.
Buildings (Buzz Booth, Squak Box) provide the cheapest sustained pressure in the game. Destructors (Sneaky Sam, Hufflepug, Health Inspector) bypass troop screens entirely — the hardest role to defend against without dedicated answers.
Attract is the win condition for most decks (Discount Diva, Master Chef, Robbie). Spells are the tempo lever — Chilli Charge accelerates pushes, Deep Freeze cancels them, Zapotle resets opponent targeting.
Pure-attack cards (Bouncer, Hangry Crows) are situationally great but get out-tempo'd by hybrids in flexible decks. Disruptor (FatKat) is good but currently a single-card role.
Granny Grifter is a niche specialist. Strong in long matches against attract-heavy decks; struggles in fast cycle metas where opponent customers don't accumulate. Watch this tier — Loot is undertested.
Tier lists are guidance, not law. A skilled player on a B-tier deck consistently beats an unskilled player on an S-tier deck. Pick what you enjoy, learn its matchups, climb.
Featured decks
Three deck archetypes that demonstrate the current meta. None are starter decks — they assume you've unlocked the relevant cards.
Diva + Booth
3.6 average Buzz cost
Sustained crowd conversion. Discount Diva, Buzz Booth + Noris, Master Chef, Chilli Charge for the closer.
Hard counter to: Pure attack decks
Weak to: Disruption (FatKat) + Loot (Granny)
Sam & Pug
3.8 average Buzz cost
Pure structure pressure. Sneaky Sam on one lane, Hufflepug on the other. Health Inspector for the slow grind. Spells to clear defenders.
Hard counter to: Slow attract decks
Weak to: Building decks (Buzz Booth pulls focus)
Flock Aggro
4.2 average Buzz cost
Air-heavy push. Squak Box + Twiggies, Hangry Crows for stock-tower harassment, Air Dancer as the hybrid frontliner.
Hard counter to: Building-heavy meta
Weak to: Robbie's AoE flash
